Directory Listing (FREE)

Post by Adendum » Mon Jun 13, 2011 7:24 pm

The extension provides a customisable presentation of files and folders on your server.

You can:-
* set an automatic display of image thumbnails if required,
* exclude folders and only show files,
* exclude specific files or file types,
* allow file uploads.

The extension will require the page format to be PHP and therefore PHP is required to be installed on your server. Also, to take advantage of the auto generation of image thumbnails this extension requires GD2 to be installed on your server.

DEMO version available from here

EDIT: Sorry forgot to state that the extension can be downloaded from the WWB extension site.

Just discovered.
Seems excellent and very useful.

How to integrate the listing in an existing page -instead of having it on top of a blank one (as described in the doc)?

UPDATED: PHP Directory Listing (FREE)

Post by Adendum » Fri Nov 11, 2011 8:01 am

10/11/11 : Having only realised I could do this yesterday (doh!) I have modified this extension (and all my extensions - see list below) so that the live rendering of the extension in design view is greatly improved. In many cases the design view will take on a background colour you set in the extension properties.

Updates available from the WWB extensions site and my own demo site. Remember to check out the extensions listed below.

Automated ToolTip
Elastic Thumbnail Menu

Hi,

I've just been informed by one of my clients that have this facility on their site that there is an issue with Internet Explorer 8. It seems you cannot open a file or download a file.

I've just done a series of tests using IETester and can confirm that for both IE7 and IE8 it does not work. Oddly it does work for IE5.5, IE6, IE9 and IE10 - but the older versions that work has thrown me.

I'll dig deeper and see if I can isolate the cause and get a fix together but if there are any gurus out there that have an answer I'd appreciate knowing.

I've uploaded a PDF to the demo page so anyone with IE7 or IE8 can prove the point.

For some strange reason this won't install on WB8.

Has anyone been successful in getting it to work with WB8?

I'm using it in WWB8 - the demo site is 100% WWB8.

What problem are you having?

It won't install. I can't install it using the .zip method or .wbx.

I will get the message "Successfully installed" but it will now appear on my list of extensions.

As I understand it that generally means you either have the trial version of WWB or an illegal version of WWB. What do you have?

legal Support can vouche for that.
And that's not the only extension that I haven't been able to get to work with WB8.

All of my other extensions installed just fine (just Two days ago I installed an extension with no problem).

Hmmm, so what other extensions can't you install?

How many are installed now?

lol, I'm asking Support type questions but to be honest I wouldn't know what to respond with to your answers....I think this is one for Pablo more than my extension support.
