Hi All,

I have just about finished this website http://www.m-o-r-g-a-n.co.uk/Emergency_Osteo/index.html and am very pleased so far. I am struggling with Firefox adn Safari on the Treatments page, the box in the middle works great in IE and chrome but not in FF & Safari. If you ckick on say Repetitive Strain Injuries it stops on Wrist Pain?

I am using an iframe linked to the page where all the ailments are listed http://www.m-o-r-g-a-n.co.uk/Emergency_ ... ments.html On this page I have used bookmarks and Smoothscroll II.

If anybody has any Ideas I am happy to listen.

Thanks in advance, and thanks for this excellant extension.

Hi morgan Ok just tried this out and it seems to be working ok in both FF & Safari :) this is I done I visited
Treatments Conditions & treatments and then I clicked on GENERAL
Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI)
and it scrolled to Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) is exactly what it sounds like........ as it should :) Ok on a note just to let you know I am not the developer of this extension it was by Bendigo I just added a variable for him to allow the user to be able to select whether to be able to use alongside other jQuery objects/extensions... Ckeck that you are using the latest version of FF & Safari and see if that helps or contact bendigo at the original posting /topic

Hi Calum,

How you doing, thanks for looking. This is a odd one, firstly I am using the latest FF but not sure about Smooth Scroll 2 I am using version 1.0.0, is that the latest. I tried to downlosd it from the mediafire links but they are both set to private so I installed via the extension manager. The only varible I can see is the speed. Unfortunally the guy who will own this site uses FF, shame as it is really good in IE and Chrome.

It's always good to know what other see and think, any comments on the site.

Cheers Dan

@Dan;

I am sorry for the issues you have but as I said before I no longer actively make any extension or have the time. I suggest you give SUB's excellent alternative

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=39541

a go and see if it helps.

@BF Thank you for updating the extension.

I couldn't find any reference to the problem I'm having, so I'm asking here.

I'm trying out the smooth scrolling extensions available but found a quirk. After publishing my site, I browse to the .COM (in this case DevelopingClouds.com) and when I click one of the buttons to smooth scroll down the page to another section...the page reloads and jumps there on the first try. After that...clicking another button does the smooth scroll. I believe the problem is that when I first arrive at my site, I am at "http://www.developingclouds.com" and after the initial jump scroll...I'm at "http://www.developingclouds.com/index.html". I believe the solution, so that the first button click does do the smooth scroll is that my landing page is "http://www.developingclouds.com/index.html" instead of "http://www.developingclouds.com".

But how do I force this to occur without playing with redirection? Something in htaccess? And...I don't want to mess up SEO and the indexing of my now large index.html.

Any suggestions?

I threw up a test site at http://www.paupackplung.com/scroll. If you load http://www.paupackplunge.com/scroll and click "test"...you will see it jump to the bottom anchor. But if you browse to http://www.paupackplunge.com/scroll/index.html and click "test", it will smooth scroll to the anchor.

I tried this and while the scroll is nice and has some great options...the same problem exists. Try browsing to http://www.paupackplunge.com/scroll then click "test" at the top of the page. You will notice (or at least I do) that the scroll to the anchor jumps instead of scrolling with a bounce (the option I selected). Subsequent scrolls ("back to top" link at the bottom, etc.) work...but not the first. But...if you browse to http://www.paupackplunge.com/scroll/index.html the first test will work. It has something to do with index.html NOT being in the URL.

Any ideas? I'm guessing an htaccess fix but I don't want to mess up my SEO or anything redirecting, etc.
