Background Music Start/Stop

Post by BaconFries »

Ok this is just a simple background music start/stop button extension no pdf as it really explains itself but for those who might not understand here is some instructions
1- Insert the mp3/wma you want to use.
2- Add your button for stop. (There is two very simple sets in zip )
3- Add your button for start. (There is two very simple sets in zip )
4- Set the height, width for both buttons.
5- If you want to use or make your own buttons feel free I just made these quickly so please dont complain that they dont match your color scheme of site.
I have to admit I am not a big fan of background music on sites as it usually puts of what i want to view but some like it and who am I to say what is right and wrong so for all that might need this little extension enjoy...

Thanks B as you say very simple it might be helpful to some users I was going to release with the standard buttons but thought it might be nicer if user could add there own image/button to match the scheme of there site so I just made some simple demos to see how it works thanks again for compliment.

BF one thing I would love to see is if you can have the buttons on top of each other or a two state button. So when you press Play, the stop button appears and vice versa. This way it looks good and you can save space.

I have just demoed it to a customer who wants music and he too suggested the same thing.

BF, I cannot get it to work on FF or Chrome....

In FireFox you need to enable javascripits to be able to use and you will probally need to install the quicktime player plugin if not already installed. I will look at what you have said about a toggle button ie stop/start as if using one button....

Strange. I do have QT installed.

That would be great for the buttons.

Really nice, so many people so many wishes.
I wouldn't want it to toggle, I Like it this way,
Set one button large and the other small, Quirky but stylish. .
Simple and loving it.

+tnx for your index update BaconFries . 8) .

The extension was never reposted due to not being cross browser compatiable with many modern browsers, If you require a background music player I suggest using one of the flash players they are for the most cross browser compatible and shouldnt cause any issues....
