In this section you can share self-made extensions with other users of WYSIWYG Web Builder.
There is a dedicated section for commercial extensions.

Nice one if it can be done ! good luck guys ...
Wow. That was my post from August 2009 :) Since then, Pablo and the user community have added the capability to do nice accordions. I ended up using that stickman script, tuning it up by hand. I like its minimalist look. The edits needed to have an accordion start with all panels closed is in the tips, trick and code forum. As Baconfries cautions, don't space another object too close under the accordion.

Just found this open source star rater using jquery, it is called:

RateIt - a jQuery (star) rating plugin

Can be found at this website:

http://rateit.codeplex.com/

I've downloaded two .js files, a css file & related star images but unfortunately I do not know how to implement it in wysiwyg :oops:

This is a recently developed script that is billed as being easy to implement (they not meet me before)

The script is highly configurable & would be of great benefit to the community if someone could develop this into an extension.

Hopefully someone can pick up on this.

Hi me.prosenet,

Yes I have extensively looked at what is available in the extensions & all of them have issues associated with them.

I have a review website where I want to use star rating for users but I do not want to change my webpages from .html to .php
I also do not want limitations on how many times I can use the star rater.
I know Baconfries is currently looking at trying to update Eddys star rater but that is still a work in progress & will still be limited to 800 pages.

Did you look at the website providing this code?
I think anyone with experience of creating extensions will easily be able to implement this for wysiwyg. It also has the benefit of being easily configurable (once installed).

I believe it will be a vast improvement on any of the star raters available so far & give far more flexibility.

Ok to clear things up I am not taking over the star rater exntension by Eddy I have simply contacted him and he has kindly given me the star rater (800) that was getting asked for...I dont have enough time to be updating/modifying my own extension let alone Eddys....so I really will only be helping were I can and if I can... I have read about the rateit jQuery script and yes it maybe be nice but if you read it in detail it uses jQuery 1.4.3 or newer to work. this means that it is not compatible with many of the jQuery objects and extensions available for WB as they use jQuery 1.4.2 so using the rateit along with lets say the jQuery Sldeshow would cause conflicts with both scripts, so to be fully compatible it mean all jQuery objects, extensions be updated to match one script...

Here are few.

1. Take a look at this site. The panel with the image has a button that you can open and close with a caption. Pretty cool

2. Yes another one :)

I would like a Wikipedia Search extension just like the Google Search extension but with an option to have the Submit button either to the left or to the right of the input box.
I think the fields needed include the following:
method="GET"
action="http://www.wikipedia.org/search-redirect.php"
<input name="search" type="text">
<input type="hidden" name="language" value="en">
</form>

What is to stop you making this yourself just using the form area, push button and a edir box??? then uyo will be able to add the button on either side of the editbox if needed and opening the form area properties and set what you require...

I wondered about that but I've never made an extension, it might be an interesting exercise.
I think I might have a go.
EDIT: I think you meant do it manually didn't you? I could of course do that.

Theres no real need for a extension to do this as all the Tools/Objects are in WB to do so...but you can always give it a go and build a extension for easier use ...

As I stated in the other thread, thank you so much for this extension. I have been trying to get one like this for two years. I wanted to see if there is a way to add some sort of way for the viewer to go back to the previous slide instead of having to wait for it to go back around.

This site has arrows

If not, I am still very thankful. Thanks for all y'all do!

I found this incredible slider that allows for html content in your slides called Anything Slider.

I implemented it for a client and thought it would make for a very powerful extension.

Don't thank me yet! He's given the go-ahead and I'm looking at it now but boy oh boy is it a monster or what! There's more options in this than anything I've seen. I suspect this could take a while...and looking at the demos he's sent it may end up as more than one extension.....if I can make it into one that is!

I am pretty close to a working extension but I'd like a couple of volunteers to put it through its paces!!!

I have not written the HELP file yet so you would have to use your initiative. Also you should be aware that this extension is very likely to be a 'work in progress' for some time as it has so many options that I have had to break it down into modules. This version of the extension is effectively DEMO2 (see original link). Once this version is viable and released I will continue to work on DEMO3 (with captions) and add that to the next version.

To keep testing manageable I only want to work with two or three volunteers to start with. Interested people should email me via my contact page and supply their email address and name. First come first served! ;)

Hello guys,

Is it possible to make an extension of this image gallery: http://www.sohtanaka.com/web-design/exa ... e-rotator/

The tutorial is here: http://designm.ag/tutorials/image-rotator-css-jquery/

As I am not skilled in javascripts or jQuery!

Thank you so much.

Wow, and I thought this was wanted. :( No takers...have I wasted my time I wonder?

Oh well, never mind, I'll use it one day. I'm writing up the help file tomorrow and I think it's all working - here's a demo.

The demo looks awesome Paul.

I think once WB users see how advanced this slider is over all the other static image sliders now available, your efforts will be very well received and appreciated.

As jalbum is a software it is intended for individual use on your PC meaning that it cannot be made into a extension, when using jalbum you also need the the softwares FTP to upload the album either to jalbum (Which costs) or to your own site this is explained on there site, also even thoughthe program is free it is only for personal use if you are going to use with a commercial site then you are required to pay month http://jalbum.net/en/accounts?ref=footer so even though it maybe open source it still requires the program to make the gallery/upload and cannot be used for commercial use without a fee...

jAlbum is free to use for commercial web sites, our only requirement is that you link back to our site either in the album (there's a link in almost all skins) or if you prefer from another page on your web site. We hope you think that's fair. However, if you'd like to charge for jAlbum software or as a part of a commercial offering/package, you need a license agreement from us. Please contact business@jalbum.net for further information.

I Know its a desktop application, I've been using it ! But BACON Fries is Still wrong in saying it requires a fee to use for commercial use on a site - NO IT DOES NOT. iT IS FREEWARE You can choose to use their gallery hosting and pay or upload to your own space for free -

The questions of whether it is practical/possible to build an extension is separate.

Do we have a gallery like this?

Post by amrajadhyaksha »

I do not know if we have a match with this.
We do have many, but I am particularly impressed by the thumbnails and that they are linked to the main panels.
Do let me know if we have something like this, or of course any one of the knights successfully tilting a lance?
