@Navaldesign
Thanks for the patient explanation.
So far, whatever I have suggested does qualify for extensions, but that was fortuitous.
Now, whatever I suggest will have the proper perspective too.

Re: Superb Menu
Hi, check out the menu here http://www.businessweek.com/
Looks very simplistic, isn't.
The drop downs on the left turn right.....that's quite common, but the drop downs on the right turn left. That's something every menu wants to be.
hopeful regards,

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
This was most likely custom made for this site, please note that it is not possible to make into a extension as this would be deemed "Stealing" since the script is not provided "freely" to be used by others and there is no download source available.

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
Anyone taken a look at http://www.flashxml.net/ recently?
Their scripts are free, albeit with a small logo.
Eddy had developed one of their scripts logo ago viewtopic.php?t=25108, wish someone also looks at their other scripts.

Still working on the help file but I have uploaded three demo pages.
The extension ZIP and PDF links are not enabled, as I'm not finished but at least you can see what you are getting.....when it's ready!
Won't be long

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
Already on it.....been experimenting with it for a couple of weeks. If and when I get it to work properly in all test situations I'll post a new thread.
Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
I remember why I slowed up on this one now.......
The problem is that all pages generated by WWB create an inline style tag, as here:-
It is the "position:absolute;" that is causing a problem with the jquery code that looks after the iFrame resizing. If I manually delete this from any iframe page (or change to relative) it all works perfectly.....but being a manual process it will be very long winded/troublesome for a larger site.
So somewhere along the line the jquery has to be changed. I have now contacted the original author but it's a big ask, IMHO. So if there is anyone else out there with some jQuery experience that knows how to overcome this I'd be grateful for input.

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
different approach try and see, also very crude example (crossbrowser in all major browsers)
Chrome doesn't work locally due to restrictions for calling javascript functions,it does work online
There are also some other nicnacs i've used so you can use those too

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
@haakoo:
It's not the CSS that is the problem it's that the jQuery I am using (see earlier post). Because WWB uses absolute positioning the jQuery can't 'see' the iFrame.
I downloaded your DynamicIframeSize+Redirect2IframeStyleOnly.zip but the WB file is corrupt.
@spyrog:
Have downloaded resize-iframe.zip and will look at it today. Where did you get the code from as I'd need to check and get permission from the originator before I can turn it into an extension. No offence, but I can't just take your word for it.

Haako,
The ZIP file is OK it's your WWB file that is corrupt. When I try and open it I get a dialogue saying there are internal errors and it crashes WB.

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
Thanks Spyrog,
I already have that code and several similar sets of code but so far I can only make them work in IE. Found a few that are alledged to work in Safari, Firefox and Chrome but so far I can't get them working.
Will keep at it and report back.

Maybe best to move the last dozen or so posts to it's own thread?
I am close - have working code for Firefox, IE and Safari but can't get it to work in Chrome

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
Got it all working now. Just building the extension now.
Chrome doesn't like the local publish files but it works fine from the server.
Fine tuning the extension now, so it should be ready soon. I did end up using the Sitepoint code you referenced but I have no idea who the original author is.

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
OK, need some support now..............
Everything appears to be working perfectly in all browsers BUT I have a problem......
Any elements add to a page after I have placed the extension on the page do not appear. The HTML is published OK but it gets positioned after the extension HTML and does not show on the page:-
So, from the above code you can see I added a simple shape (wb_indexShape2) to the page but on publish you don't see the shape. ANYTHING placed on a page AFTER the extension has been placed does not appear on the page.
The shape (and any other object) is published and the code is correct...........so what is causing this? Obviously it's the extension but how do I overcome it?

Hi all
I think that this may have been looked at before, here is a link to a google map with directions, streetview and company details all in one. Is there any way to create something like this?

A simpler DD from DD
This is a nice DropDown Menu from Dynamic Drive.
Stops short of kicking butt the way the last extension from Paul does, but is a good one nonetheless.

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
lol...I have this one in my list of TO DO extensions.....and I think it's neater too, take a look here. I also liked this one!
I'll work on that after I finish the time-line extension.
EDIT 10/11/11 (17:35) : Doh....there is already an extension for the first one I mentioned. Oh, well, saves me the work. Back to the Time Line extension then!!
Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
Radesh,
I believe the original Nivo extension author has posted that he's updating it, so I'll hold off unless he's decided to abandon it. And the other one looks very familiar....I think Pablo's done that one for WWB8?

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
Radesh,
Nivo: I'll gladly create it but I don't want to tread on anyones toes.
MobilySlider: There's a very very similar looking slider in WWB8, actually it's called a carousel. Trust me....you wont have long to wait.

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
If you can find or provide a url to a script that is similar to this then maybe one of the builders will take a go at it...but it is not possible to simply copy this and make a extension of it as it is a violation of copyright of the site it is contained in...

Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
I think you could do this with events in WWB
Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
You're kidding right? Are you aware what that system entails? No offence fella but I think you have two hopes of getting anything like that in an extension format, and one of those is Bob (that's Bob Hope btw).
Re: SUGGEST FOR EXTENSION DEVELOPMENT
While I appreciate this might be a WP theme but I would like an extension for custom scrollbars. (NOT Flash!!!!)

Bendigo,
Your post "Here's another nice one" linked to http://www.eyecon.ro/spacegallery/#about is almost identical to the Stacked Images extension I provided...but the code does look a lot simpler...wish I'd seen that before I did Stacked Images!
The last link I hadn't seen before and the sideways stacking is new. But the code behind it appears similar....but as I type I see you and BF have already established that it's one you've already worked on....I'll leave that to you guys then
