Web Shop

Post by SteveHale » Fri Oct 15, 2010 7:47 am

I am in the middle of creating a potential e-commerce site for a cosmetic company.

Using the webshop module I can create a basic site with products, leading to checkout and PayPal gateway etc.

However client wants to capture names and addresses of his customers and have them log in, along with orders history and so on.

Can this be done and is there a web shop module that can handle this?

Cheers

Steve

I think you will need a dedicated webshop application for that or create the functionality yourself.

It can be done with an additional (paid for) module, available from DBTechnosystems. Or, you can use a dedicated, DB driven Webshop like our Webshop Pro which holds data on products, orders, customers, allows shipping either as the normal Webshop Plus or customized per country / courier and more.

Of course, probably A CMS from the many on the net will allow you to create a webshop for free. If your hosting account is CPanel based, you can probably install (for free) Soholaunch which includes a full webshop with many features.

Our Webshop Pro however is the only in-site webshop that works from within WB and is customizable through WB.

Hi Naval Design

OK. Can you please advise me more and instead of bothering the forum you can deal with me direct on my direct email address:-

Do you have a demo version? So I can trial?

So that you know my questions are also going to be:-

Can Promo codes be used to make offers to consumers and allow discounts for trade customers of the cosmetics (salons etc.). I.e.:-

Code: TR12345 = discount 25%
Code: TR12346 = discount 30%
Code: Xmas1 = 5% Christmas promo discount

I presume, like Joomla, there will be a way of : Qty, 25, [-2.50] - or similar??

Please feel free to contact me as I have been given brief to write 2 new web sites that are e-commerce so your product might suit me as I am more familiar with WB than having to learn Joomla structure!

Cheers

Steve

I will mail you, as this is something that can't be discussed on the forum.

Pls also delete your email address from your post, to avoid you spam.

Thanks

Email address removed. Mind you in my business I am used to people attempting spam. I don't get much to be fair due to the spam rules we have set up!!

:-)

Cheers
