Hi, i uploaded a site that contains a contakt form and the ABVFP from processor in it to the ONE.COM server where the page is stored.
But the Contakt form dont work. i get this message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in removed by user 82.
So i asked the support on ONE.COM and they say to change this:

$htmlbodystart = '<font style="font-size:16px" color="#000000"
face="Arial">Nedanstående kund har kontaktat mig från HBR's offert
förfrågan:</font> ';

to this:

$htmlbodystart = "<font style=\"font-size:16px\" color=\"#000000\"
face=\"Arial\">Nedanstående kund har kontaktat mig från HBR's offert
förfrågan:</font> ";

and this worked, wy is that? the changes are this: ' is changed to this: " and then i'v added the \ i the code lines, wy?

Olsow; do i need the DBTS Previwe together whit the DBTS form processor for the form processor to work properley?

Regards.

Patrik.

I consider this meaningless.

The issue was simply the single quote which you had in the message: HBR's offert
after HBR . It should be HBR\'s offert

This happens because quotes (single and double) have a special meaning for PHP. Since the HTML Textbox uses double quotes for the HTML code, I use single quotes for openin and closing.

Publish the page again, so the code will turn back to what it must be AFTER you backslash the quote ' just after HBR

No, the preview extension is not required, it is an optional which you use only if you want it.

Please also note that this thread is about ABVFP, which is not the same as the DBTS Form Processor Extension. In the future pls post in the DBTS Form Processor Extension thread (or in a new thread of your own)

ok, but i only changed this:
$htmlbodystart = '<font style="font-size:16px" color="#000000"
face="Arial">Nedanstående kund har kontaktat mig från HBR's offert
förfrågan:</font> ';

to this:

$htmlbodystart = "<font style=\"font-size:16px\" color=\"#000000\"
face=\"Arial\">Nedanstående kund har kontaktat mig från HBR's offert
förfrågan:</font> ";

and now it works.

Please do as I said and you will see that it will work fine.
Otherwise, everytime you republish the page, you will need to manually edit the code.
Just add a backslash before the quote ' in HBR's

Publish the page and test.

OK, like this then?

$htmlbodystart = '<font style="font-size:16px" color="#ffffff" face="Arial"><strong><em>Nedanstående kund har kontaktat mig från HBR\'s kontakt formulär:</em></strong></font> ';

Why are you posting it here? There is no need yo manually change the code.
Just add the text as you had originaly done, INSIDE the DBTS Form Processor "HTML Body Start" field.

The text you need to add is:

Nedanstående kund har kontaktat mig från HBR\'s kontakt formulär:

Format it as desired, (size, font, style, colour etc) using the formatting tools and that's it!
The processor uses the standard HTML textbox tools which allows you to set colour, style, size, add links etc. Unless you don't have the HTML Textbox extension installed, in which case it will display a simple text area.

The data array creation is fine.
The template is wrong. The extension will create the HTML email body by reading the template file.

Basically the DBTS Form Processor started as a simplified version of the ABVFP made into an extension for WB. However, this is a very old threda. Since then the DBTS Form Processor has evolved to the point that is its much more powerfull has more features than ABVFP.

Main differences:

ABVFP has an online database management interface to store each form settings. The DBTS FP doesn't need it because settings of each form are stored within the WB page

ABVFP sends out only text mails, DBTS FP send out text mails, HTML mails, and mails from template.

ABVFP can't store data in a file whilst DBTS FP can

ABVFP doesn't allow custom code, whilst DBTS FP does.

ABVFP can only redirect after processing, DBTS FP can redirect, or refresh the page, or include another page, or simply exit (die)

ABVFP performs field validation through PHP whilst DBTS FP doesn't. It will however also do this shortly.

hi Navaldesign,
I am using your ABVFP as a form processor and tanx for great script. since my website is in 2 different languages (English and Persian) I have got some problem in Persian language.
There is no option for changing text direction in edit boxes (no right-to-left direction). also, when i activate "real-time validation" the ToolTip appears in the right side of the edit box and hides the edit box title. i would tanx alot if there is any way to solve the problems or other form processors which support right-to-left text direction.
thank you for great support...

I'm sorry but this is a form issue, not a processor issue.
The form processor doesn't create the form in your page.
So you'd better start a new thread and ask support if this could be possible.

@Joseph1982 you can set the editbox to RTL by doing this,
Add a editbox to your form, right click on the Editbox, a new window will open, look for HTML,click to open you will see Inside Tag* click on this and add dir="rtl" click ok you will now have a editbox that use RTL for text input. To enable the validation try this...open the Editbox Properties>Valaidate>General>Tick enable realtime validation>Settings>Misc>Position>Top Right and that is you.....

thanks a lot baconfries. you are really handy...
I managed to change text direction successfully. But still wondering how to change ToolTip position to center-left. any idea?
