Form Spam Prevention

Post by lpug » Sat Sep 01, 2018 3:06 pm

Hello,
I previously noted that people filling forms on my site would never arrive to my mail box. I called my hosting provider and they disabled filtering on their back-end.This enabled to receive these form emails but it also enabled 100's of spam. Is there anything I can do to not trigger WWB forms as spam. Would captcha help? this is not good for customer experience though.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Then they may be getting sent to your 'Spam' folder or your host is blocking them.

What do you mean by WWB Forms? as spam? All types of Forms are targeted and not just WWB Forms!. You can try using one of the many Captcha methods to help with bots, but if the Form is getting manually filled by a 'Human' then there is not much you can do. There is methods such as using 'Honey Pots', and blocking IP address or multiple IP address's but if it is 'Human' input there there no way to stop it.
