Copying and pasting table from MS Office

Post by mygis » Wed Aug 29, 2018 9:27 am

Hello,

Is there a way to copy tables and their content from MS Word or MS Excel with their basic properties such as text fonts and also cells colors?
My scenario is that I create some tables for training schedules and I want to update them on our website. I do that just once or twice a year.

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm sorry, this is not possible. MS Word tables are very different from HTML tables.
But you can use an inline frame to display an HTML page created by MS Word or MS Excel.

Thanks Pablo :D .
Here is the way I did it and I think it is a good workaround.

1. I saved the MS Word Document containing the table as an HTM document.
2. Opened it in Firefox then opened the document's source code
(Tools--->Web Developer-->Page Source). Copied everything between the <table></table> tags

3. Opened WYSIWYG Web Builder, added an HTML tool.
4. Opened the properties and pasted the source code.
5. Previewed the page on the browser and it works !

Great advice !
