Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Hi Pablo
I was wondering if you could possible look at my form to see if you can see anything obviously wrong with it.
I have a a layout grid as a form, all appears to work across most mobile devices, there is a issue that when you click on some of the input fields such as the date and time fields it doesnt appear to want to select it for inputting. I have created 4 breakpoints 1200 default, 980, 768, 640, 480, 320. I can reproduce the issue on my note 8 which has a viewport of 414px.
Here is the link to check it
http://www.totallook.com.au/test/online-booking.php
The other form http://www.totallook.com.au/test/survey.php, what do you suggest to stop the overlapping of the long label into the data field as the viewport becomes smaller.
Thank you

Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Some browsers may not support the 'time' input format.
https://caniuse.com/#feat=input-datetime
Unfortunately I do not have a Note, so I cannot not verify this myself.

I will add multi-line support for labels in the next update. The other form http://www.totallook.com.au/test/survey.php, what do you suggest to stop the overlapping of the long label into the data field as the viewport becomes smaller.
Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Thanks Pablo, with the same phone (Note8) if I orientate it in landscape, those fields work fine.
Why is that?
My original site has the same page built with wordpr***S and seems to work fine, I thought I had missed something.
Thanks

Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Maybe you have overlapping objects on the smaller breakpoint?
Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
I was talking about the 'time' input format, working fine when I orientate landscape
Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Yes, I meant maybe something is overlapping the time input field in portrait mode.
I do not have a note 8 so I cannot verify this.

Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
I had a similar 'problem' with an iPad not responding to finger touches. Worked okay in Landscape mode, but not in Portrait (vertical).
Sometimes mobile devices may have a protective film over the display to reduce scratching, which 'could' reduce the touch sensitivity. Or, the screen may have become less sensitive. Or, the touch area of the button is too small.
As a last resort, I decided to increase the height of my 'Submit' buttons, and have not had any complaints since!
Your mileage may vary...

Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Thanks for your response, unfortunately I don't have any protective screen over my phone, I have even tried it on my friends phone and it behaves exactly the same. I thought it may have been because I used a layout grid to create my form, I'm in the process of creating the form not using a grid, it appears to behave the same though.
Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Are you using the latest update of the software?
Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Hi ipug
I have a note 8 but cant seem to reproduce your issue. I have tapped on every field. Tested in both portrait and landscape modes.
On another note here is a link that may be of use to you
https://www.shedul.com/
its free scheduling software for your industry. I have it on a few sites I have done and made it work for whatever industry out there. I has a great sms feature for yur clients.
What shopping cart software are you using on your site if you dont mind me asking

Re: Input fields sensitivity on mobile device Note 8
Hi Graham,
Good reference thanks, at the moment my shopping cart is woocommerce I'm going through the process of converting the site to web builder, it hasn't been smooth sailing. Ive purchased 2 additional software carts from members from this site, one of them wasn't what I expected so I'm not using it, the other one is good but found bugs in it and waiting for the developer to fix. The rate I'm going might just stick to whats working...what cart do you suggest?
