Hi,
I am trying to set up my first form and I am fighting with it.
I had it set up and it worked to the point of getting to successful page, but I never received the e-mail (I checked spam,etc.). Now it will not work at all and when try to access the registration page I get an error: HHTP Error 405.0 - Method Not Allowed
Detailed Error Information:
Module
StaticFileModule
Notification
ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler
StaticFile
Error Code
0x80070001

Is it a problem on the side of hosting (1and1) or on the side of website?

Thanks

Karel

I am not familiar with there is error. But it looks like a server error.
If it previously worked then there is most likely a problem in your settings.

Generally when you are not receiving emails it is one or two things, 1 the emails are going to your spam bin or 2 your host 1&1 is blocking (filtering) them. See the following Forms FAQ reading from:
Emails are not arriving in my inbox...
The email is sent but I do not see the success page.
How can I make sure the 'from address' in the email message is the entered email in the form.
The auto responder option does not send the message to email entered in the form.
It is also asked to give as much information as possible such as what are your form settings, any error messages and always include a url to your site so we can view and say what may be wrong.

OK, after I removed the success and error pages, the form started to work again (e.g. I am not getting error as described previously). After I click submit, I get redirected to success page (I just picked on of the pages already created). Except I still do not receive the emails.I called 1and1 and they confirmed that PHP scripting is allowed on the hosting package I have. Any idea where to turn next? How do I confirm that PHP is in fact working on the server side?

You can try the following to test PHP is working by doing the following:
Open a text file and add the following

Code: Select all

<?php
  phpinfo();
?>
Save this as test.php then upload to the root folder of your server.
Now you can test by opening your browser and enter the url of the file in the address bar.
http://yoursite.com/test.php , and pressing enter. (yoursite.com) << rename to your own!

Note the Success & Error pages should not have any PHP scripts in them and the page extension should be .html

Usually this indicates a restriction or configuration issue on the server side.
Was the email successfully sent by the host?

Re: PHP script.
Hi, I created the test file and uploaded it to root of my website. When I try to run it, I get this error: 
HTTP 500 error
That’s odd... the website can’t display this page
What output should I get from running the script?
I am trying again with 1and1 and see what happens.
Thank for your patience with me. :-)

OK. I finally got the reply from the 1and1. Apparently I have a Windows hosting, so no PHP, but only ASP.NET. Anyone knows if there is a way (simple) to create a form and submit the data using ASP.NET?
Thanks

I'm sorry, I do not have much experience with ASP.NET, so I cannot help you write a script for this.
Maybe they have an option for you to switch to 'php enabled' hosting?
