File Upload

Post by bigdaddyk » Sat Jan 20, 2018 5:17 pm

Greetings WWB Users!

Anyone else having this issue?

It seems as if the File Upload form feature allows me to upload any file type even though I have utilized the "valid file extensions" feature.

Also, the form field will not maintain its full width inside different breakpoints. I noticed this issue was addressed back in September and Pablo mentioned he was aware of it and was being fixed in the the next update.

I had to utilize the following to get it to look correctly:

<style>
#FileUpload1
{
width: 100% !important;
}
</style>

I even tried the right -click "include visibility" option to no avail.

Anyone having the same issue or a solution to either problem?

Thanks!

The validation is case sensitive, so maybe you have used a different case than specified in the settings?

Note that the validation is more a 'help' feature for the users than a restriction (because it uses JavaScript).

This has been addressed in the latest update. There an no known issues with the current version.

The file extensions are lowercase. The tool appears to convert them even if entered as uppercase.

Please note that 'File Upload ' is a standard HTML feature, so the 'tool' does not do anything with the filename. This is browser functionality.

Hello,
I am using WWB v12.4.0 and I am having width issues with the File Uploader. I need to make it approximately 14px longer than other form items for it to be seen correctly (in line with the other form items) when browsed.

Are you referring to the 'File Upload' input box or the extension?
Please share your project file so we can see what you have done.

WayneO,

If your file uploader is part of a layout grid, you can use this custom CSS as a solution:

Right Click and view Object HTML and paste this after the tag, of course replace the object ID with whatever applies to your file uploader.

<style>

#FileUpload1
{
width: 100% !important;
}
</style>
