Unable to edit the date picker

Post by DreamCars-Rental » Fri Dec 08, 2017 7:38 pm

Hi there,

Winter season, time to make some improvement on our website :)

While configuring a Date Picker the setting of the first tab seems to work fine, however when I do change any setting of the second tab "Editbox" it does not work. For instance changing the Background colour or the Border radius, none of these changes are accepted. I can select the changes but when I click the Ok button the windows close but without keeping and putting the changes in place. Reopening the Object Properties shows that the values are back to original.

I have the latest software version installed and I've tried to set the Predefined Style to "None" but it doen't help.

What could prevent the changes to be accepted ?

Thanks for your help

These settings only make sense if you set the date picker to popup mode.

It seems to work correct. Make sure you have the latest update (12.3).

Tip: always include a link to your project file so I can see what you have done.

Yes, as said in my first post I have the latest software version installed.

I could not publish a page that is not properly working since it is in production, but here is a copy of the page so you can have it for test purpose and check what's wrong.

Maybe you have set 'Use jQuery UI theme' to 'true'? In which case the theme colors will be used.

Yes ! You spotted it right, that was it. Thanks.

Now that the date picker is set, ins't there a time picker as well ? For appointment making setting the time right after the date is very common.

There is no time picker in the jQuery UI library (http://jqueryui.com/).

But you can set the standard edit-box to type -> time.
Note however that not all browsers do support this yet: https://caniuse.com/#feat=input-datetime

Thanks for the advise !

When you say that "not all browsers do support this yet" this info is related to the option of "set the standard edit-box to type -> time", but this is not related to the Date picker right ? Only to be sure.
