build in form processor script

Post by ART » Mon Jun 19, 2017 10:04 am

I have made a form using the build php processor script. There are 2 problems which i previously did not have.

1) When the form has been completed and sent correctly, it continues to the success page. The form page stays open and the success page appears in another page. As a result people think the form was not sent (and resent it up to 38 times). How can i make the success page in the same page as the form.

2) I am using the autoresponder. The responder now sends the mail to me and not to the person who has completed the form (again 38 mails).

If it has previously worked with another form what have you changed settings wise?. No the success page cannot be part of the form it uses a separate page. On the success have you not included something to say that the form has been submitted successfully? This will let the user know not to resubmit.

If the form autoreponder email doesn't send the email to the user this can mean that the form field is named incorrectly it should be 'email' (not 'e-mail' or 'Email', but 'email' !).
The auto responder option does not send the message to email entered in the form.

1) Maybe you have changed the 'target' property of the form?
2) Maybe you have set the email input field to 'email'?

You have set the target of the form to 'res'. This causes the form to open in a new window. Normally the target property is empty.

The email input field is 'Email', so you will need to configure this in the 'Auto responder' settings' as the input field.

Here you can test and see that the succes page replaces the form page:

Yes, you should leave it blank, unless you want a different target window.

The name is case-sensitive. See the FAQ.
