Problems with Icons Fonts

Post by MorningLight » Fri Sep 14, 2018 2:29 am

Hi Pablo,

I'm facing a problem with ICONS FONTS - in my case, Ionicons and Foundaton fonts.

I can see icons in the editor and during Preview, but not when files are published. The font files (SVG, TTF, WOFF and EOT) are correctly placed into the website folder but when I load the page in browser, I cannot see their referred icons.

You can see this at http://www.oasys.com.br/nada/home.html

Do you know what can be the cause?

Thank you!

I cannot see what you have done based on the HTML code only.
I need your project to be able to help you.

Note that these are third party fonts, so I may not have control over this issue.

Ok Pablo,

I guess the problem is related to the lack of a specific CSS file for each "icon font" created during the publishing.

Suggestion: would be interesting since WB14 embed these fonts and recognizes them in editor to be chosen, to create the related CSS files during the publishing, avoiding that kind of question.

Regards,
David

WWB uses the TTF to display the font. Browsers use TTF, WOFF or SVG, so there may be differences.
Note that these are third party icon fonts (not created by me). I have provided setups just for your convenience to make it easier to add them to your website

Anyway, to be able to help you I need to see your exact settings. It may take me hours to analyze the HTML code to figure out what you have done.

Ops! I'm sorry, I will provide this...

==== UPDATE ======

After just publishing the page with problem I could see the icons normally...
So, the problem is related to something in the project - another script I guess.

Thank you *VERY* much Pablo. I will try to detect here what can be causing the conflict

Final Update

Since I really don't have any other script conflicting, I went to WB OPTIONS trying a solution.

It seems I got success:

- Marking GEBERATE EXTERNAL CSS STYLE SHEETS POR PAGE SPECIFIC STYLES
- Unmarking GENERATE SINGLE CSS STYLE SHEET FOR GLOBAL STYLES

Thank you Pablo anyway.
Have a good weekend.
