Preview page error

Post by semua » Fri Jul 13, 2018 2:07 pm

When browsing my site in preview mode, with> Preview Entire Website <enabled, I click on a page with file extension .php and the browser does not find the page.

Then I went to the folder C: \ Users \ xxx \ AppData \ Local \ Temp \ preview and I realized that even though I have the file extension of a page like .php (eg the software generates a preview page such as page.html. That is, the software ignores the file extension and always generates an .html, hence the browser can not find.

Do you have a solution for this? Thank you very much in advance.

Simple you cannot Preview PHP locally you are required to publish to your host/server were it wil be processed. If you wish to view/run PHP from your own PC then you will need to install xampp which is a local server. Note no help is offered on xampp.
You can also use the following 'Remove PHP during preview' in Tools->Options->Preview. so you can see what the page looks like. But to see it fully work you need to publish as mentioned.
