Footer Layer not Centered

Post by MorningLight » Tue Jun 26, 2018 4:18 pm

Hi Pablo,

One of my client's websites has a centered Footer Layer.
Before, the layer was positioned at the bottom-center of all pages without any problem.

Now, you can see the footer neither stretching to the page borders nor really centered. See here:
www.blackstormsecurity.com

The layer contains a LayoutGrid inside (as always had) and its settings is:
LayoutGrid:
  • Overflow: hidden
  • Position: floating
  • Maximum wisth: <blank>
  • Column Height: auto
  • Grid System: flexbot
The layer itself has the following settings:
  • Overflow: hidden
  • Box sizing: content box (but even border-box does not alter the problem)
  • Mode: sticky layer
  • Orientation: center-bottom
  • Relative horizontal sizing
The website was 100% in version 12 but, once upgraded to version 14.0.5 started to display this behavior.
Thanks for any help.

A layout grid should not be inside a layer.
A layer grid is either be a child element of the page or of another layout grid.
It may have (accidentally) worked in older versions, but it is not correct and it is not supported.

Also note that I cannot see that you have done based on the HTML only.
But it looks like there are other conflicts as well.

Ok Pablo, I understand, but how put text (with hyperlinks) centered in a layer? The best option is using a Flexgrid...
Any other suggestion to do it?

You can set the alignment of the layer to 'center' to center the child elements.
