WB14 Footer

Post by lpug » Sat May 12, 2018 11:56 am

I apologize if this is a repost as I cannot see my original post?

I have seen a problem that in WB14 the footer layer will not attach itself to the bottom of the page as like in WB12.
Can anyone else confirm.

Thanks

There are no known issues with the footer in WB14.
Can you please be more specific?
What exactly did you do?
What are your settings?
How can this problem be reproduced?

Create a new project, add some text about 5-6 paragraphs of text, then add a footer layer and position it far enough from the text, then preview it and it doesn't attach to the text it stays where you positioned it.

This is normal behavior. By default the footer is at the bottom of the page height.
If you want to stick the footer at the bottom then you will need to set it to 'fixed'. This is not different than in previous versions.

Also... in Page Properties, check the "height" of the page. The footer will locate itself at the bottom of this page height. Find where the bottom of your text ends, and adjust the page height to something a little bit larger.
