Font not displaying correctly on webpage and typekit

Post by mashtaytey » Fri Jul 21, 2017 12:36 pm

Hi
I am testing a sans serif font I have purchased from adobe type kit.
It has synced to my computer and displays properly in WYSIWYG web builder 11
I have also embedded the code generated by adobe using the html editor in WYSIWYG

the page i am using to test the font is
www.rnaudio.co.uk/fonts

as you can see the font has reverted back to a system font (times roman)

Now the font is question is called:
"News Gothic Std" (if you look at the code)

I can only get this font to display properly on the webpage if I edit the html file (away from wysiwyg) and change the name to
"news-gothic-std" (adding hyphens)

the problem is each time i make a change in wysiwyg and upload the name of the font is reset back to without the hyphens.

Im not a coder at all - thats why i love this program -
but is there a way round this
Thanks

Note that I cannot give support on third party code. But because the font name does not match the name in the script, it will not work.
This is not directly related to the application, because the software simply uses the font name of your system.
So you either need to rename the font (under Windows) or the script. You will only have to do this once.

You will need to rename the font name under Windows, it does not match the name in the script file.

If you update the original js file (before uploading), you will only have to do it once.

so how do i edit ";font-family:'News Gothic Std'"
in the line below
ive gone to OBJECT HTML editor but I cant actually change that line. I can only append the script 0- not update it.

<div id="wb_Text1" style="">
<span style="color:#000000;font-family:'News Gothic Std';font-size:37px;"><strong>ABBA REVIVAL THE TRIBUTE</strong></span>
</div>

This font name that is used by WWB is configured in Windows, WWB has no control over this name. It just uses it. To rename a font you will have to edit it in the Windows configuration. For example, using a font manager.

Or else edit the 'ove3fee.js' file which contains the definition of the font.

Alternative you can use @font-face instead. In that case you do not have to use external scripts.
