I am looking to have my site just like > sample site www.test.com and not www.test.com/html
I am aware about the checked box in the options area to click hide efile extensions but I tried that and it did not work when I click on a link on the page it just restarts the main page again...so when I click on www.test.com/help it just stays on the main page but shows the site as www.test.com/help and does not go to the help page

Re: file extensions
Looks like you may have enabled the following Tools->Options->Publish & Preview->Hide file extension. This should not be checked!. After you uncheck you will need to republish all files/pages.
Be sure to read the help before enabling this option!
If you wish to hide file extensions you can do this by implementing a .htaccess file on your host/server please contact them for further help with this.
