My domain provider says I should update PHP app

Post by UncleEti » Sat May 12, 2018 1:13 pm

Hello, it's all in the subject.
I have bought domain, hosting to OVH.
In my customer interface (espace client), it says that I should move from PHP 4.4 to PHP above:

- because PHP 4.4 is not supported anymore ;
-- but this change might 'impact' my site functionning.
Now, my site functions OK -it seems to me at least.

Does this upgrading imply upgrading wysiwyg web builer. Or, since it's offered by my host provider, it might be its job and I should accept the offered config modification?
Thank for your advice

What version of WWB are you using? WWB 12/14 supports PHP5 to PHP7
Or, since it's offered by my host provider, it might be its job and I should accept the offered config modification?
I would personally update as PHP4 is extremely old, has its issues as you mentioned not supported...
so the answer is yes. Note as PHP 4 is no longer supported by server/hosts then any issues with it are not supported in the forum.

Thank you.

I upgraded a couple of time WB, but it's true I have a site for sharing texts, a few images; I don't use much tools because I wanted to use diacritic sanskrit translitteration which were not provided when I started by WB, so I started in html. But who knows, maybe some day...

By respect to my issue, I will use OVH interface and see what happens.

Thank you.
