Sitemap.xml

Post by Trugmaker » Mon Apr 18, 2016 8:49 am

I have created a sitemap using an online generator. What it returned was a page of HTML. When I look at the 'old' file (which is now wrong) using IPswitch FTP, it shows as a small icon. How do I create or edit a xml file to insert the new sitemap, then upload?

Web Builder can generate a sitemap.xml file automatically: Tools->Site map

Web Builder could automatically generate a sitemap.xml file. Please, does this option still exist?

Friend Pablo, sorry, but I do not find the option Menu -> Tools-> Site Map...

I find the following: Menu -> Tools -> ...

...[Tools] Backup Manager | Extension Manager | Theme Manager | Mobile Theme Manager

...[Site Tools] Asset Manager | Global Replace | Google Fonts | Style Manager | Verify Links | Remove Logo

...[Options] Applications

Mayer you have enabled 'Easy Mode'. This will hide advanced options.

Friend Pablo,

I've always published my site using the URL http://

>> Publish Web Site \ Location \ Publish to: My Computer \ URL \ http://

That is, I first do the publishing on my computer and only then do I copy to the web (FTP).

Since I have now installed an SSL certificate on my site, I would like to know if I should change the URL on WWB (on my computer) to:

>> Publish Web Site \ Location \ Publish to: My Computer \ URL \ HTTPS://

Obs. I understand that this change (HTTPS://) will also affect the SITEMAP.XML file created by WWB

No, this will not effect the sitemap. The sitemap has its own URL option.

Strange, I have created a sitemap and publised my site. Yet I see no XML file? Is .XML the file extension I look for when having created a sitemap?
