Best Practice to accommodate Browsers

The topic refers to if there is any rule of thumb to accommodate different browsers, its annoying that you build your site check it on some browsers and it looks terrific and others it looks amateurish.

What do you more experience guys do?

Re: Card alignment of objects

Thanks Pablo, in design view looks spot on, in preview mode the buttons and dividers are all over the place. Am i better off creating the cards with individual layout grids (I'm assuming I will be in the same boat because the grid size is dependent on the content. Do I have any alternatives other th...

Card alignment of objects

Hi Pablo, Could you take a look at this small project I have uploaded https://www.dropbox.com/s/zq221gvb678hjbj/tlook.zip?dl=0 When you preview the file you will notice that all the read me buttons are not aligned....I understand that this is caused by the text above the divider. To fix this is it a...

Object Naming SEO

Should we be calling our objects meaningful labels, such as flex grid cells, icons etc.... I know there's a benefit naming your images but what about everything else? I understand it will help to manage the project but just wondering from a seo point of view.

Thanks

Re: Auto Detect Browser - Flex Grids

So its not unreasonable to just continue on, are flex grids supported with our native browsers such as safari, or samsung browsers....I just tested with samsung seems to be ok. Is it easier enough to detect the browser and then pop up a message for that user to upgrade to a moden browser? I dont wan...

Auto Detect Browser - Flex Grids

What a huge disappointment that flex grids aren't supported by internet explorer, just as I am progressing through my project I read somewhere on this forum that it's not supported. In saying that is there a way to detect peoples browser and then redirecting them to pages that don't have any flex gr...

Flex Grid Sticky Layer

I'm assuming this is not possible? if not is there an efficient way to distribute the layout grid columns by percentages? because layout grid can be used as a sticky grid.

Thanks in advance

Re: Flex Grid Column Widths

Thank you so much, I'm a little embarrassed I couldn't see this myself......I'm really liking the flexibility that the flex grids offer.

Flex Grid Column Widths

I have a 1 row 4 column flex grid, 1st cell has an object in it, cells 3 & 4 have objects in it but when i put an object into cell 2 I'd like it to be central in the page, or are the cells controlled by the object widt...

Re: Responsive Website at different breakpoints

Pablo what do you recommend....you suggested that in my project I had a fixed layer and had to adjust this at all breakpoints....I have done this and its not quite right.....I'm trying to replace it with a layout or flex grid...I want a image in the layout grid then overlay a header in the centre of...

Re: Responsive Website at different breakpoints

Thanks Pablo, just upgraded to V15.....back to grids, is there anything wrong in mixing flex and layout grids, i.e. nesting a layout grid inside a flex grid? or is that pointless.

Re: Responsive Website at different breakpoints

Thanks for checking, at the breakpoints that I worked on all appear to be ok. However on my mobile with a viewport of 412 (Samsung note 9) its all over the place...how to you manage this, how do the wordpress themes manage it so well? Last question when we talk about responsive are we also referring...

Re: Responsive Website at different breakpoints

Pablo are you able to check whether I'm on the right track, its the first time that of used a combination of layers, flex and layout grids.

I've read and looked at so many examples, I thought I was doing ok.

Thanks in advance

Re: Table Sizing

Thanks Pablo is there an alternative to using tables? thats responsive, what I've built so far with the tables doesn't look too bad, not sure how it will look like using different browsers.
