Re: form data to database

Warning: date (): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings In your php code, it is good practice to declare the time zone, such as: date_default_timezone_set('America/Vancouver'); ... just change the 'America/Vancouver' part to reflect the zone for your region. A list of time zones ...

Re: Printing forms

If you have some basic php programming knowledge, then I'd suggest having a look at fpdf.org for a place to start. Have a look at their site, as they have some good example scripts, and a few tutorials. I've used the program, and I can get some very good looking results. YMMV... Edit ... I just read...

Re: ID fields in forms

Perhaps Pablo can add his design knowledge here, as I don't have an inside look into what actually takes place during attempts to access the database. But, as you have already noted, if there is no initial table, the script will create one with the required fields, and with a particular structure . ...

Re: ID fields in forms

the table does exist and has data in it, as it is a table that has been and still is in use by another web site
If you you are using an existing database and table, then the form on the new website must use the same identical fields and structure. Can you confirm the new structure matches exactly?

Re: Which Capture Code Do You Use and Why

I use Google's reCAPTCHA V2 "I'm Not a Robot" for two reasons... First, it is an "in your face" visible verification process which alerts people that there is some form of checking standing between themselves and the application. It is hurdle much like the "old school" version, but doesn't require a...

It would help to know...

exact Program version

32 or 62 bit

Windows version

This might help determine whether you might be experiencing issues with the program itself, settings, or PC.

Re: Worth Upgrading From 14 to 15?

Just be aware that if you are still using Windows 7, you may, or may not, have an issue with the new graphics. It might be worthwhile downloading a trial version 15 to ensure your computer will play nice with the latest version. If you are running Windows 8 or 10, then everything should be fine, and...

Re: mega menu tutorial

Maybe this will help: https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/navigation.html

Second, go to your WWB toolbox and type in 'mega'. Place a menu wherever you like. Double-click on the menu to open, and select 'help' at the bottom of the page, which will provide all the necessary details.

First Frame Video

I created a layer whose sole purpose is to display a video, by making an 'mp4' video file the background image. Since the video file can be 8 to 10 MB in size, there can be a brief delay while the video is delivered to the end user, depending on the download speed. Is there a way to have the first f...

Re: Irregular spacing between words

When you go for the "newspaper column" look, then you want the typographic alignment with fully justified left and right edges. The print industry calls this "full justify", or simply "justify, where the spaces between words or letters are stretched or compressed in order to align both the left and ...

Re: Login Extension and mySql

Not sure about $crypt_pass and md5 in the php code for the extension? The login script is encrypting the password you enter (md5), and comparing the result to the whatever has been stored in the database. You probably only have a 'clear text' password in the database, so the verification will fail....

Re: Safari and altered texts

The numeric text strings is converted into links from Safari, is there any way to disable this feature? These are called "smart links", and is a feature which Apple adds when it recognizes a date, a street address, or email address. The thought is that an end user can simply click on these recogniz...

Re: Using Book marks on a responsive website.

I did not have any problems when I just left the bookmark offset at the default (0). All I did was to drag each bookmark icon to the required location for each break point. I did a 'view source' on your web page, and for some reason it is showing negative values for the offset. Perhaps you could for...
