Problem solved
It was a setting in publishing permissions
I did not change it but it was different so I copied succesful files permissions and it worked

when I select publish it goes through as if its all working when I check Cpanel Only 7 out 0f 12 pages are modified showing todays date/time The others still show last modify at 2018 After publish goes through last line of log says "publish failed" i will check page properties on the pages...
