Re: Newbie with Layer setup issue

Android and IOS are designed to frustrate and then you have to cope with browser differences as well. Can't offer anything further. Did you actually try it out? Perhaps same idea but min-width: 100vw

Re: Newbie with Layer setup issue

I ran into this same problem with my banner layers. If you are not using breakpoints and media queries, which will sort out presentation on small devices, then the only cure I've found is to right click on the layer, click on "Object html", click on the "Custom Style" tab then type in: min-width: [p...

settings for lightbox - magnific popup

I have been trying to change the default close button to an image. Apparently the way to do this is: closeMarkup: '<button title="%title%" class="mfp-close"> <img src="fancybox3/fancy_close.png" width="44px" height="44px"/></button>' Trouble is how to apply. I have edited the lightbox.ini file for m...

Have you tried the "View" ribbon checking the "object outlines" or "render hidden objects"

Re: fancyBox 3

Fancybox3 will not directly integrate as fancybox2 did as it was completely re-written. You'll need a good knowledge of jquery / js with V3 onwards.
Presto - see my reply to your other post

Re: link from word in text object

Fancybox 3 is a work in progress for me. Every time I get back to figuring out what to do I find something has changed or a new version is out. I have a specific way of using it which is not the standard gallery operation - an example here: https://www.whiteshepherdsnz.com/NewSite/mwsGallery.html Fa...

Re: When to use SSL?

There is also a move underway by browsers and search engines to increase the level of warnings against sites that are not ssl protected. That's why I decided to move early. It's just another annoying thing you don't need when people are looking or trying to get to your site. The other thing is searc...

Re: smallest BP to largest?

Nightmare is a good description! Currently working my way through my site over 100 pages. Not just the BPs its the extra coding to cope with Android and IOS quirks especially with full size image backgrounds and layers. The satisfaction is seeing it all come together on the small screens then take a...

Re: Why Clear Browsing data?

Hi Pablo, I put this meta stuff in my page some time ago but for some reason I put expiry dates back in the 80's. Can't remember why. Should I remove the expiry dates and put it as you have it?

Re: link from word in text object

Just heard back from the Fancybox creator - the cure was to put data-fancybox="" in the html tab!

html object styling

I recently created an html object and styled it using css giving it a border and white background then giving it 20px padding all round the contents. Viewed in desk top - perfect, on mobile, Chrome had to make padding, bottom 140px just so contents viewed appeared within border. The compromise being...

Re: link from word in text object

Hey, thanks for that. I found a far more convoluted way around the problem because I had a single focus on making the system work. Often the simplest ways are the best. Good to have a second pair of eyes and thought that's why I like these forums and sharing of ideas.
