Re: Screen size for web design

When I re -designed my web site I opted for 1250 default then 768, 480, 320 breakpoints. As you say, the home desktop is much larger these days and then you have to cater for tablets and mobile. I took a look at some of the surveys on Google to help make up my mind.

Re: Mobile pages

It really depends on your content. Mobile browsers treat content differently to desktop and within the mobile browser world there are differences from one browser to the other. I held back for some time until biting the bullet and converted my site to responsive using breakpoints and combinations of...

Re: re-generate "Image" folder for web site

So no way to auto generate a new image file other than manually remove images based on best guess then check web site to see if any missing?

re-generate "Image" folder for web site

I have recently restructured my site so that all the slideshows have there individual image folders for ease of maintenance, which means I now have hundreds of images in the main image folder I want to dispose of.
What is the easiest way to regenerate the main image folder please?

Re: Possible just to insert a <div> on a page

Interesting, I jumped in as interested in what the moderator answer might be. In my old software we could create an html object and the positioning was governed by where the object was placed on the page then we manually entered the div html and css. Never had to do anything like that since using We...

Re: Possible just to insert a <div> on a page

My thoughts would be to insert an html object on the page, positioning where you want it. Insert html: <div> </div> Then use css in head tag under page html to style the div using the id generated by Web Builder. A further thought, I think Web Builder creates a div automatically when you insert an h...

Re: Problem with text object showing outside layer when page published

Thanks Pablo.
That must have been lurking there for some time only to rear it's ugly head when I decided to do the break points. The custom code was meant to have been in the layer styling prior to break point changes.
Thanks once again for being a new set of eyes for me.

Re: Problem with text object showing outside layer when page published

Thanks Pablo. File is here: https://www.sendspace.com/file/tiaaze I run latest version of WB14. Problem with text object showing outside layer when page published

I started making a page responsive by adding break points: https://www.whiteshepherdsnz.com/whiteShepherdAssistanceDog.html Both desk top and mobile browsers show 1 particular text object as being outside the header layer despite me placing it inside Layer1 and confirming that on the object manager ...

Re: need simple automated slide show for different sizes

I would go for fancybox, the lightbox option in Slideshow. see my example on this post:

Re: Slideshow Portrait/Landscape

Fancybox in the lightbox option on Slideshow can handle all your requirements. I also tend to use a lot of images which is why I do a bulk resize before adding to SlideShow. Looking at setting up the option to use Fancybox 3 instead of the default as explained by Pablo earlier is probably worthwhile...

Re: jor_magnificManipulation 1.0

Hi Jordon,
Your update appears to work well. I found about 80% of the pedigree pages still had meta tags with viewport instructions, so have fixed those now. I believe its as good as its ever going to be on mobile. Thanks for your help.
Regards
Roger

I was beginning to wonder - - Just couldn't lay my hands on the instructions. Was not a wasted exercise. Have found some interesting stuff along the way. Thanks for your patience.

Re: extracting "Title" from Image Title for SlideShow

OK, so if I decide to use the other option and use an image folder on my server as in the advanced options do I still select the images for the list of images or do I leave it blank because I can't get that to work. I get: https://s5.postimg.cc/tfxj8jqo3/Screenshot_2018-07-17_Orchard_Grove_Puppies.p...
