Re: Layout Grid disappears

thanks Pablo.

It doesn't work in Edge either.

Do you know of any other way besides a 3rd party script or messing with the code after publish to achieve having a fixed, full screen video background when using only layout grids and floating layers over the top that will work with the panel menu?

Re: Layout Grid disappears

Pablo,

Real simple.

1. download the project from my first post. Video is included.
2. disable the 'use z-index for object order' as stated in your solution. Preview and video plays.
3. insert a panel menu or panel layer anywhere. Preview and video doesn't play.

Re: Layout Grid disappears

Hey Pablo,

I did what you said and it is working now.

However, I do have one other issue....if I try to place a panel menu or panel layer onto the page, the video does not play. Any idea why this would cause it to not play?

Layout Grid disappears

Hey Pablo, Have a weird situation and not sure if I don't have something set up right or what. Here is what's happening. I have the page set to width and height 100%. I have a HTML5 video set to fill the browser window. I then have 4 layers set as follows: 1. floating layer - full screen - center in...

Re: Directory of Designers / Developers / SEO Specialists / Theme Builders / Extension Builders etc. here

Just my 2 cents worth, but I like the idea. I think each designer brings their own creative element to the table. It would be an easy way to find out who creates templates, extensions, etc. or does full on design for those who want/need it.

Re: Mobile Page issue after publishing

You have objects outside of the viewport. I can see the 'logout', 'home' & 'report' buttons off on the right which is causing your page to be wider than it should be.

Re: Vertical alignment issues in smaller viewports

I downloaded your project and took a look at it. The issue is just how I and Pablo have explained. Fonts are rendered slightly different in each browser. Sometimes the line height is different and sometimes the spacing between characters can be different. Here is a screenshot of the workpage in WB, ...

Re: Vertical alignment issues in smaller viewports

Sorry, I've fixed the link now. :D If you are simply placing text boxes and images on the workspace and are not using fluid layouts, then padding/margins are not going to make a difference as these objects use absolute positioning. As I and Pablo have stated, your text objects may look different due...

Re: Vertical alignment issues in smaller viewports

I assume that the text objects and images are simply placed on the workspace and not inside a layer or anything. Sometimes with text, it may render differently in the browser than the way it looks in the workspace depending on the font used which can sometimes cause the text to be shorter/longer in ...

Re: Vertical alignment issues in smaller viewports

Can you be more specific on which text and images you are referring to? If you are talking about the text blocks with the long dividers with the arrowhead ends, you should be able to add padding to the top/bottom of the text blocks to create spacing. You may also want to consider using layout grids ...

Re: Layout Grid question

You cannot put a carousel inside a layout grid. It has to be on its own. However, you can make the carousel full width and floating to work with other layout grids/floating layers.

You can change position of layout grids by using the arrange tools.
